… an unforgettable experience…

Thursday, May 28th, 2009

Although our flight was at 13.40, we started our journey very early. As some of you know the distance between Lisków and Warsaw (the place of our departure) is quite long, that is why we decided to leave our village a little bit earlier.

It was my first flight, so the feeling of fear and excitement appeared, especially when the plane took off.  As soon as we landed, we met the Swedish delegation, and after that the Icelandic one. Then our adventure in Turkey started. Despite the fact we were tired, nobody was thinking about sleeping.

When we arrived in Bolu, my Turkish friend Kubra was waiting for me. The same day I met the whole family, which was very nice and warm.

During our visit, people showed us great hospitality. During the conference sessions all delegations were presenting their work about sustainable development. In the free time we observed national dances, we tasted Turkish cuisine, went sightseeing, and spent time with host families.

I’m very satisfied that I could participate in that conference. Thanks to that trip I learn a lot about other traditions, customs, and what is the most important I had an opportunity to improve my language.  It was an unforgettable experience…
